Strategic Category Lead needed in Scunthorpe, £24.72ph PAYE – Reference: 5263334

• The Strategic Procurement and Contracts Team enables effective procurement and contract management across a range of goods, works and services supporting the provision of services for the people of North Lincolnshire.
• The role supports the effective and efficient management of third party spend by providing procurement and contracts advice, supporting wide projects, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures, and contractual arrangements.
• The successful candidate will support the team to achieve excellence in procurement and contracts advice ensuring value for taxpayers’ money, following best practice, and maintaining professional standards.
• Demonstrating significant experience of leading strategic procurement projects in a large, diverse organisation and delivering positive outcomes through procurement improvement and delivery.
• Evidence of a commitment to improving outcomes and passionate about delivering value for money services, you must be a team player, able to build relationships to collaborate with colleagues across client enabling the review, development, and delivery of identified procurement needs. Solutions focused, with a can-do attitude, you will have the ability and technical skills to support effective procurement, contract management and social value delivery across the organisation and wider.

This is a full time role on a temporary basis.
