Senior Technical Officer Full Time Temporary

Senior Technical Officer needed in Bridgwater, £15.70ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1378238

The purpose of the role is to manage clients’ applications for Disabled Facilities Grants, loans and repair grants, including designing and organising schemes ensuring the property meets the needs of individuals and the Decent Homes Standard.

• Arrange and undertake site visits, meeting with applicants, occupational therapists (OT’s), architects and contractors to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
• Understand, uphold, and promote the aims of the council’s equality, diversity, and inclusion policies; health, safety, and wellbeing of self and other; and Organisational values in everything you do. Equality and Diversity practice covers both interaction with staff, service users and communities and includes challenging discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity for all.
• Ensure project feasibility and scope of work, undertake measured surveys and to give technical advice. To liaise with other officers of the service and outside agencies.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
