Principal Planning Officer

Location: Surrey Pay: £36 per hour Reference: 5256444 Type: Temporary

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a case officer for a range of applications.

• Draft reports and recommendations for Planning Committee submissions or delegated decisions.

• Conduct S106 negotiations.

• Produce high-quality, well-reasoned reports to meet strict weekly deadlines.

• Liaise with councillors, stakeholders, and interested groups proactively.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills.

• Proven track record in managing complex caseloads.

• Self-starter with a high level of energy and commitment.

• Ability to work independently and maintain excellent performance and accuracy.

• Experience in providing first-rate customer service.

• Driving Licence is required.

Flexible Working:

• 37 hours a week, Monday – Friday.

• Flexible working with a mandatory office presence on Wednesdays.

• Part-time working will be considered for the right candidate.
