We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the continuous development of our business application support service, ensuring it remains secure, effective, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the continuous development of a secure, effective, and efficient business application support service.
- Support the delivery of an effective business application reporting environment, providing staff with access to necessary reports.
- Understand customer requirements, collect information, deliver analysis, and recommend options for enhanced use of business applications.
- Undertake analytical activities and deliver analysis outputs in accordance with customer needs and agreed standards.
- Support the delivery of business application-related learning activities.
- Promote and improve data integrity through continuous support and development of business application reporting environments.
- Protect application integrity and security through rigorous monitoring and implementation of safe working practices.
- Apply and maintain specific security controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business applications.
- Investigate operational needs, problems, and opportunities related to business applications, recommending improvements.
- Support the coordination, escalation, and monitoring of calls to third-party application suppliers.
- Support relevant projects as a business application specialist, implementing solutions to fulfill business requirements.
- Use appropriate management software and tools to proactively monitor performance statistics and carry out application maintenance tasks.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant business applications and associated software.
- Maintain application support, system administration, and change control procedures and documentation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Ideal ITIL qualification or equivalent experience.
- Business analysis/BPR training.
- Knowledge of relational databases and the use of industry-standard data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Experience in maintaining and supporting business applications.
- Knowledge of business application reporting environments and data integrity practices.
