Interim Service Manager

Service Manager needed in Bristol Paying  £355.97 per day ref 5261768Full time hours on a temporary basis  

Role Overview: We are seeking an Interim Service Manager for our Statutory SEND Team. The successful candidate will drive improvements in practice, ensuring a person-centred approach and enhancing communication with families, settings, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the SEND team, ensuring effective identification and capacity of needs.
• Support access to appropriate education provision for children and young people with special needs.
• Collate and report on data regarding children awaiting specialist places, ensuring accuracy for operational and strategic use.
• Lead the SEND team in line with strategic priorities and implement new practice developments.
• Ensure data accuracy and financial compliance through standard operating procedures.
• Improve KPI performance and build partnerships with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven success in leading improvements in local SEND systems.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and statutory responsibilities.
• Experience working with schools and settings.
• Senior leadership experience and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of financial pressures in education settings.
• Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
