Finance Officer needed in Exeter Paying £12.55 per hr Ref 365047

Full time hrs on a temporary basis

Key responsibilities include:

• • Process purchasing requests within corporate service standards, including urgent requests, ensuring timely operations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding stationery, printing, and consumables; manage stock and orders.
  • Maintain a single supplier database.
  • Check and process invoices accurately and within deadlines, including public claims (e.g., Interpreters Fees).
  • Challenge and advise on purchase requests to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
  • Administer receipt of goods, including storage and distribution.
  • Add relevant items to the Force inventory per financial regulations.
  • Provide expert purchasing advice to customers.
  • Add new suppliers to procurement systems while minimizing the supplier list.
  • Raise sales invoices and monitor outstanding debts, producing debtor reports and sending reminders.
  • Handle debtor queries and arrange write-offs when necessary; complete monthly financial health reports.
