Finance Manager Full Time Temporary

Finance Manager needed in Uxbridge, £550 per day PAYE – RQ1326231

Fusion Expertise supporting all tasks relating to AP;AR:Projects and GL

• To support the Senior Service Manager – Corporate Finance and Principal Accountants in providing budget monitoring and budget development advice and guidance to accountants.
• To maintain and develop financial models for all aspects of financial planning and to assist with analysis of the main Funding – including Local Government Finance Settlements, CSR implications, and all future funding streams including retention of NNDR.
• To support the annual budget production process.
• To support the monthly budget monitoring process.
• to assist with the accounting for the Collection Fund.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To support the Principal Accountant to undertake an annual budget review exercises to develop the next financial year’s budget, and to inform the medium term financial planning strategy.

1. To assist with detailed technical analysis of funding announcements and changes and maintain financial models to assess their impact on the overall funding, developing models further as required.

1. To support the production of the annual revenue budget for the authority in conjunction with service areas, including the statutory requirement for setting council tax and the production of all require reports for CMT and members

1. To take responsibility as directed for specific aspects of accounting for the Collection Fund. Assist with modelling of the council tax base, monitoring and impact of CTB localisation, retention of NNDR, New Homes Bonus and any other related legislation

1. To assist with the analysis of the impact on Council Tax levels of spending plans, including comparisons against other authorities, as required.

1. To support the monitoring of the receipt and use of all grant income to ensure correct recognition and use, and maintain processes for all corporate levy income and expenditure.
