Environment Officer Full Time Temporary

Environment Officer needed in Huddersfield Paying  £18.53 per hr Ref 0009 728A /1

Full time hours on a temporary basis  

• Take charge of ecological advice for planning applications, Local Plans, and policies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on pre-application discussions and biodiversity enquiries

  • Providing expert guidance on Biodiversity Net Gain and using Biodiversity Metrics

  • Drafting and developing legal agreements related to ecology

  • Supporting the delivery of biodiversity net gain objectives

  • Preparing written statements for planning and enforcement appeals

  • Developing and improving the ecology service internally and externally

  • Participating in partnerships to implement Biodiversity Net Gain and Local Nature Recovery Strategies

  • Researching current issues and developments impacting the natural environment

  • Developing reports and recommendations to support planning policies

  • Handling applications and enquiries confidentially and in a timely manner

  • Using IT systems to maintain accurate electronic case files
