• About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Ecologist to play a key role in the conservation and enhancement of biodiversity and natural capital. This position involves developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing strategies for Biodiversity Net Gain and contributing to the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Biodiversity Conservation: Lead efforts to conserve and enhance biodiversity, including developing habitat banks and contributing to the Local Plan.
  • Advisory Role: Provide expert advice on biodiversity, ecology, and nature conservation for planning policy, development, and land use.
  • Collaboration: Work with various service areas and external partners to manage key sites effectively.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee biodiversity and natural capital enhancement projects.

  Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in biodiversity conservation and ecology.
  • Strong advisory skills on ecological and conservation issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience in project coordination and management.
