Full time on a temporary basis

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive organisational culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing resources effectively, and upholding governance standards. This position is integral to maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of all colleagues and service users.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Culture & Wellbeing

      • Establish and maintain a positive organisational culture.
      • Incorporate safety into all activities.
      • Foster a culture that prioritises the wellbeing of all colleagues in the service.
    2. Compliance

      • Ensure all activities within the service comply with relevant regulations and safeguarding responsibilities.
      • Operate effective systems to manage performance and risk.
    3. Resources/Financial Management

      • Ensure spending is contained within the allocated budget.
      • Exercise strong budgetary control.
      • Prioritise use of resources and assets to support the delivery of the corporate vision.
      • Deliver value for money.
    4. Governance

      • Ensure compliance with the governance framework.
      • Support the preparation of the Annual Governance Statement for the service area.
    5. Health & Safety

      • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing strategies, policies, and procedures.
      • Oversee the assessment of risk and implement preventative measures to safeguard colleagues and service users.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and financial management.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to foster a positive organisational culture.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
