ASB Localities Officer needed in Uxbridge Paying  £22.08 per hr Ref 1484313

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive ASB Localities Officer to support the efficient delivery of the Antisocial Behaviour Localities Team. This role involves establishing effective networks, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely responses to enquiries and complaints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish effective internal and external networks, meeting and communicating directly with key stakeholders.
    • Engage and communicate with councillors, residents, the business community, and other service users to resolve complaints and enquiries.
    • Ensure appropriate, accurate, and timely responses to enquiries, Freedom of Information requests, and complaints at all stages, including Ombudsman investigations.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, ensuring investigations and administration are carried out in compliance with team KPIs.
    • Share intelligence and coordinate investigations with the Police and other representatives while ensuring compliance with Data Protection obligations.
    • Contribute towards delivering a first-class investigation, problem-solving, engagement, and response service, fostering a customer service-centered culture.

    Operational Service Delivery:

    • Instigate follow-up action or legal proceedings as necessary to control ASB under relevant legislation, including the Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
    • Prepare case files in accordance with the High Court Rules of Evidence, including maintaining a notebook, collecting evidence, taking statements, and assisting with recorded interviews.
    • Use enforcement methods such as Community Protection Warnings (CPW), Community Protection Notices (CPN), and Community Protection Injunctions, where appropriate, for sign-off by Senior Officers/Managers.

    Knowledge & Experience:

    • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 and Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
    • Proven experience in investigating and resolving antisocial behaviour issues.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Experience in preparing case files and representing the organization in court.
