Prevention & Assessment Support Officer needed in East London Paying  £16 per hr ref OR3996

Full time hours on a temporary basis 

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and professional Prevention & Assessment Support Officer to provide resident-oriented services to households experiencing housing difficulties. You will triage residents to determine if they are homeless or at risk of homelessness, provide initial housing advice, and support the Prevention & Assessment Team with operational and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resident Support:

  • Triage residents both face-to-face and over the telephone.

  • Determine whether residents are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

  • Book appointments for the Prevention & Assessment Officer and gather initial information.

• Housing Advice:

  • Provide initial housing advice to residents.

  • Offer details on homelessness prevention and suitable housing options in the private and public sectors.

• Operational & Administrative Support:

  • Make calls to applicants to gather information.

  • Conduct third-party enquiries.

  • Write letters, take notes, respond to emails, and update resident records on case management systems.
