Fire Safety Manager needed in Manchester

The rate is £21.92ph PAYE

The successful candidate will undertake all fire safety management duties, manage the FRA remedial works programme, act as the lead for property fires and liaise with GMFRS for and to work with the Building Safety Manager in the managing MCC’s 12,500 stock, including high rise accommodation.

They will ensure the effective delivery of all fire safety works are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction, to a standard of legal compliance. Providing assurance to the Head of Design & Delivery, Executive Management team and the relevant Corporate Board and the Housing Advisory Board on all fire safety compliance matters.

Support and advise on procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed. Participate on tender of valuation and contractor selection as required. Providing on going advice on the competency of contractors to undertake works and ensuring robust contract management of the selected contractors by monitoring quality of work to determine compliance with fire safety legislation and guidance.
